Ground mounts are a great option for businesses with rooftops too small to meet their electricity needs. Or for businesses with rooftops that are not suitable for solar.

Depending on the land available, ground-mounted solar panels can be sized to match your business’ electricity consumption. They can also be optimized for highest efficiency.

Ground mounted solar panels often are more productive than roof mounted systems as they can be set at the perfect angle to capture the sun’s rays. This means we can easily optimize your energy production and help you save even more money in the long run.

There are two types of main ground mounts:

  1. Standard ground mounts allow your solar panels/arrays to be to be placed on above-ground ballasted concrete piers or aluminum/steel pilings and framing. This framing keeps the ground mounted solar panels at a fixed angle and is an elegant and often cost-effective solution. Note: some standard ground mount systems can be manually adjusted throughout the year as seasons and sunlight changes.
  2. Pole mounts: pole mount keep the panels higher off the ground and offer customized shading for different applications. Some pole mounts can be designed with tracking systems. Tracking systems automatically tilt throughout the day to capture the sun’s rays as they change. While more costly, one of the greatest benefits of a pole tracking system is that it could produce 15-25% more energy throughout the day.
